My names is Lea Illum, a recent college grad with the same problem as most recent college grads... no job. I graduated from Philadelphia University with a BS in Textile design. I have a love of color and design. So when I started to think about my unemployed self and what to do with all my new found freedom and fee time I started thinking of what I loved. I have an extreme nail obsession, I love nails, just love them. Ask just about anyone who has known me for more than a millisecond and they can probably tell you this. I can not stand the sight of a bare or chipped nail. So I thought why not write about it?!
I wanted a place to share all of my opinions on nail colors, brands, techniques, testing out tutorials and my experience with them, and maybe even creating and sharing a few of my own! I wanted to spread the obsession!
Being the youngest of three and the only girl I've grown up being an extreme girly girl and into all things beauty. I started painting my nails when my best friend Jen started giving me trouble about them being unpainted and too short and bitten. This was in High School, now I'm nail crazed and have grown out my nails and actually as crazy as it may sound take pride in my nails!
I am not only am I nail obsessed but I am also very crazy about pinterest. In college I was encouraged by professors to use this as a source to find inspiration and imagery but of course I soon found how many amazing nail tips, tricks, colors, designs, styles, and tutorials there were on pinterest. With being a design student I never got to try too many of these since the studio serviced as basically my home. Now is my chance to try them all! And I plan on it :)
